Core vaccines for cats

Certain cat vaccines are considered so important they are called ‘core vaccines’ and are administered to all cats. The FVRCP vaccine is the most common core vaccine and protects cats against feline herpesvirus, feline calicivirus, and panleukopenia virus (distemper). After the initial kitten series, cats are re-vaccinated one year later and then every 3 years.
